Calling all Students, Schools and Parents

-2008 Rock Challenge®, the biggest dance and drama competition between schools-

Dubai, UAE-12^th November 2007 - Rock Challenge®, the biggest dance and drama competition between schools is back again this year and is attracting a larger number children and schools.

The Rock Challenge® is a chance for Junior and Senior schools to take part in ‘a performing arts spectacular'. While the result is a professional event, staged in Dubai's top venues, the Rock Challenge® is about having fun while making healthy lifestyle choices.

Students, teachers, parents and communities work together helping prepare the eight-minute school dance performance reflecting the personalities concerns, hopes and dreams of those who create it. The end result is a 1-night event of true inspiration and entertainment, displaying Dubai's youth at its best. Past Rock Challenge® performances have been compared to Broadway and London's West End.

Practical skills are also enhanced through the Rock Challenge. Students can participate in a diverse range of areas including designing and building sets, make-up, fundraising and budgeting, designing and sewing costumes and of course, performing.

"Last year was the first year we held Dubai The Rock Challenge® and we were all taken back by the professionalism and creativity that these children showed. We had children from Emerati schools to International schools participating and it was wonderful seeing their families' faces light up. The Rock Challenge® is a non-profit affiliated company and to date, has attracted more than 1 million students worldwide. The Rock Challenge® program has been praised as more than just performing-it's also a highly successful vehicle to pass on important social messages, conveying important health message to young students and encouraging them to do their best.

The Senior Rock Challenge® will be taking place on February 16^th 17th 2008 at the Mall Of Emirates Art and Community Centre and open to all secondary schools followed by Junior Rock 2008, in May.
