This is what Musafirs has to say about his art, poetry, and living in UAE as an artist: "I have lived nearly all my life in UAE, I've seen it evolve and rise like phoenix form sands to a full-fledge metro and cosmopolitan city. Some thing similar to what my brother Minhaj does every time with SIM city game. This land of dry sand has thought me to write poetry (English) listen to the sea waves of symphony at calm evenings at beaches or on long drives listening to my collection of Yanni, Vangelis or AR Rahman and some times I join local drama group to bring our my creativity with posters & flyers. For inspiration, even walk down the Old Sharjah' Heritage area or Dubai's creek inspires me and is good for fascinating Photography and art work. My genre of art falls fortunately or unfortunately under Digital Arts, which is quite different form contemporary or fine art, as the medium as well as the outcome is basically Zeros and Ones.(DIGITAL unless printed). Most of digital arts are created using common available software such as Photoshop or Coral Draw's Photo paint etc. Some of art lovers find it hard to accept digital arts simply because they do not know the techniques used in creating such art, Art in general is not about the tools used to create one, but its more into the use of them in creating and organizing color, line, form composition of patterns, rhythm of layers working towards creating a visual "image" that pleases ones heart as much as a fine art. Not having to stretch canvas, wash brushes or mix paint and wait for the paint to dry may deny the digital artists the pleasure or labor of creating an ‘ART WORK' but length of time taken or saved cannot be a retiree to judge an art, most of the time saves is re-used to experiment evolving a new variation. In his book, "The Art Spirit" Robert Henri states, "...there is the new movement. There always has been the new movement and there always will be the new movement. It is necessary to pierce to the core to get at the value of a movement and not be confused by its sensational exterior." So, while digital tools may or may not be used to produce a transformative visual style there is a deeper question regarding the emergence of an overriding digital aesthetic that speaks to our contemporary culture, as well as, our art. My statement is influenced / Inspired by by : Museum of Computer Arts ( MOCA) due to the same genre of art work I'd like to thank Dubai Lime for inviting me to be part of Dubai Lime's Open Mic Nights for my Poetry reading and I would like to thank them again for giving me another opportunity to be part of their exhibitions or Art and Cultural Promotions. I have done Digital ARTS inspired by music, nature, poetry or event. Similar patter I have followed in my poetry too. My art and photography goes hand in hand in my creative outlook to life and also towards admiring the beauty in everything that is created or is being created. I also love to teach my art and encourage anyone who have the desire to use their imagination to create something called ‘ART. Basically I am like all fine artist a freelance ‘Graphic-Digital ARTIST'. I have online art gallery where I have got quite positive reviews from well established artists which can be views at http://www.dubailime.com/administrator/www.ArtWanted.com/musafirs and any one interested in poetry can visit my Poetry blog- http://themusafirs.blogspot.com/ The plan and schedule for my exhibition as I have the opportunity to display my art work throughout the month of May 2008, which is divided in to 4 Weeks, I have decide to work on 4 different themes: For the first week I'd like to showcase my work on the Digital Art Designs, approx 6-12 Printed images on various material.
