He is best known for his series of landmark watercolours commissioned by HM Queen Elizabeth II to record in detail the fire and subsequent restoration of Windsor Castle in the 1990s.
In pursuit of the relationship between architecture and civilisation, Alexander has traveled across Europe, and in particular, Italy, Russia, China, Malaysia, the Middle East and Egypt, North America and the British Isles. The result is that his work is prized in such prestigious collections as The Royal Collection, Forbes Collection (New York), The Library of Congress (Washington DC) and others.
