KHALED AL-SAAI |

According to Khaled, calligraphy should be seen as more than beautiful words inlaid on paper, but also the communication of the most intimate emotions, the most private thoughts.
It is this sensitivity which allows Khaled to respond to the nuances in nature, geography, architecture, language and culture through his paintings.
As an internationally recognised master in the tradition of contemporary Arabic calligraphy, Khaled works in an astonishing range of styles, from decorous classical modes, in which quotations from poetry are often the subject, to radically inventive compositions which feature lettering fragmented into fantastical, almost pictorial compositions.
