 The main focus to Peter's work is the handling of shape and surface.
He creates simple, 'pure form' vessels, which he then treats in a wide range of methods. Crackle glazes, lustres, Egyptian paste, textured engobes, crystalline effects, all enrich surfaces without detracting from form. Like many New Zealand artisans, his work often pays tribute to the Pacific in its varying colours and patterns. Peter's CV demonstrates his commitment to his trade: as well as receiving numerous awards and being featured in several prestigious private and public collections, he has attended over 250 group and solo exhibitions.
