Painting for me is part of my spiritual growth. I'm a video producer for the United Nations, filming humanitarian issues which need to be addressed to try and give unheard people a voice in countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Lebanon to name a few.

As you can imagine this type of work is very heavy going and I wanted my paintings to be the complete opposite. I've chosen bold and bright shapes and colours because I feel it’s a true reflection of what I'm about.

It's nice to see people getting pleasure out of not only the way I paint at the gallery, but also the finished product. I'd like to do a charity exhibition for an orphanage in Afghanistan so I can also bring some light into the lives of innocent children who've been devastated by decades of war.

Afghanistan is one of the worst places on earth but one of the most beautiful with some of the most incredible scenery I've ever seen.

I get inspiration from the places I've been; to the people I meet and the amazing experiences I have with the humanitarian work I do with the United Nations.

I've travelled to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Kenya, Bangladesh to name a few countries.
