Inner peace and simplicity not only characterise the artist and designer, but also her work.

Shahla's eye for detail, preoccupation with bold colours and dramatic brush strokes enable her to depict landscapes and human forms with an intensity which not only engages the viewer's imagination, but allows it free reign. She combines a number of artistic techniques within each painting, and uses watercolours, acrylics, pencils, pastels and mixed media to great effect.

Shahla was born in Tehran, where she graduated from The Culture and Literature School of Tehran. She has had nine solo exhibitions and participated in 32 group exhibitions, on an international basis. She currently lives in Atlanta, in the USA.
