Tom could be described as an artistic magpie, as he uses whatever material is at hand to create fantastical pieces which give the term 'mixed media' true meaning. Wood, wire, string, wax, beads and feathers are used, while he employs
methods ranging from relief cutting to painting and pyrography.
He recently painted a vibrant red parrot - on the flattened remains of an aluminum can! Tom was born in Malawi, Africa, graduated from Exeter College of Art, and now works in the United Kingdom with the criminally insane where he uses his huge artistic talent as a form of therapy.
