The Flying House Gallery

The Flying House was founded in December 2007. It is a non-profit institution that promotes contemporary Emirati artists. This gallery has a collection of artworks which are part of the Emirati contemporary art movement, dating from the establishment of United Arab Emirates to the present day.

Its large collection includes works by some of the first generation of Emirati artists, beginning with the earliest works of Hassan Sharif, “the father of the nation’s contemporary art practice” , Fatma Lootah and Hussain Sharif.
