Microworlds And Macrovisions |

The paintings of Thierry Feuz go a long way: from abstraction to imagination, from geometrical composition to biomorph evolution. The spectator is drawn into a kaleidoscope of artistic viewpoints on the juxtapostion of macrovisions and microworlds. The abstract works of the Technicolor Series play with the precarious equilibrium of layer and tones, the refined technique and subtle execution define the new horizons of a cosmos sought to be discovered. Their surrealist counterparts are approaching from the other side: bacteria and jellyfish like creatures inhabit these paintings, celebrating the contradiction of evolution theory and metaphysics. Whereas scientists have to use tele- and microscopes to get a different perspective on the world, Thierry Feuz presents the beauty of nature in a pure and poetic way. Carbon 12 is the city's first truly international art space, with an exciting programme of emerging as well as established artists. The gallery's owners have a young, fresh and dynamic approach to modern art. Their mission is to bring a colourful variety of international movements and styles with one common point: contemporary art at its best. Carbon 12 represents both newly-discovered artists and internationally recognised names whose works already hang in museums. The chic minimalism of the art space, which is located in Dubai Marina, is the ideal environment for showcasing the unique works that the curators have chosen to bring to Dubai. Carbon 12 will host ten exhibitions a year, opening each one with a "vernissage". For most exhibitions the artists will be present at the opening event. www.carbon12dubai.com For media enquiries please contact:Daisy Omissi Papillon Communications This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it +971 (0)50 502 5218
