Marcus then dreamed the impossible. he turned to his bandmates half way across the globe for an SOS (save our song). "it was a huge step.chemistry to create a certain tone in making a song and recording it was very vital...specially in a long distance one" says Marcus. the band was very supportive. "it was fun.and sometimes frustrating when there's a part of the song where i want the arrangment to sound the way i heard it in my head" he added. but after all the battle against time zone differences and communication struggles, the single "This Christmas" is finally out in iTunes. According to him, it was worth all the effort. and it doesn't stop there, they will continue to do it until they finish all 12 songs, targeted to be released end of next year. as Marcus always say, "LDR works." Following the success of the release of his first single in the Philippines two years ago, front man Marcus of DMAC, now goes solo in the release of yet another single.this time waving a banner not known to be possible if done decades ago. in the advent of technology in the 21st century, the music industry has had its turn-arounds and countless successful bands have used the media we know as the internet, to launch their music to a global audience. with this same tool, Marcus has used what he coined as LDR (Long Distance Recording) to realise his dream of recording a song in dubai. "i love my band in the Phi. i would love for them to be with me here to record but unfortunately that's quite impossible...so i thought." recalls Marcus. having played solo (acoustic guitar and vocals) around dubai under the wings of dubailime, the idea came to mind when he met with Butterspoon Experiment front man Mark Villar to produce his album. "initially we thought of hiring sessionists to record the instruments...i even asked him to do the guitars for me, he's the man..." but Mark then became very busy with work.
