Dubai Lime is tough on Spam and Scam. But you also need to be alert as due to the nature of the Internet it is impossible to catch everything.  Don’t let spammers and scammers spoil your enjoyment of Dubai Lime.
We have systems in place to report Spam or Scams online. The offending user is banned from the system and all of their posts, forum posts, ads profile ID etc are removed. However this requires our users to report potential scammers.  Always use the report button if you see anything suspicious. Here are the common points you must understand prior to using the system.
Buying and selling online is just as safe as ordering goods over the phone, but you should be aware that dishonest people may try to convince you to give them your cash and personal details.
Never send money by Western Union or other method outside of the UAE in return for a promise of goods or services.
Only deal with companies with a registration number in the UAE.
All of the advertising banner links you see on our site are safe and validated companies.   If you see a banner ad on our site we know that company is a legitimate company. We always check advertisers, they are safe to shop with.
Never buy cheap phones, discounted electronic goods, pets including cute puppies, cats etc from the forums or the classifieds. If you see suspicious activity ensure you let us know.  If you want a cute cat or dog visit the charity pages.
Over friendly members from outside of the UAE
Confidence tricksters, many claiming to be “ (Insert Name) a God fearing women who wants to get married etc" are looking to strike up false relationships and scam you out of money. The reality is that you are probably emailing Bert in Nigeria – If you see this activity simply report it using the report profile button. We do not know it is you that reported it.
Get rich quick schemes / Posting / Part time Jobs
Many of these are also a scam, if you see any please report them.Â
Never send copies of your ID over email; never send out personal details that can be used by scammers to pretend they are you. Simple
