A fun event which is free for all the family - but with a serious message - is planned to mark World Diabetes Day in Dubai, on Friday November 14th.

Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai is organising the family event with the support of the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC) in Abu Dhabi at the Jumeirah Beach Residence, The Walk, from 2pm-7pm.

Games, entertainment and face painting, healthy eating - interactive sessions on the Smart Lunch Box 'I EAT RIGHT', eye care and guidance.

Directions
From Airport Road

Follow signs to the Dubai International Airport.
Once on the Airport Road (Route 89) follow it all the way past Umm Ramool and Al Rashidiya on your right and over Emirates Road in the direction of Al Khawaneej.
The first interchange after Emirates Road directs you to Al Mizhar and Mirdif, exit right and follow signs to Mirdiff/Al Warqa'a.
Continue along this road, Algeria Street, until you see the big Spinney’s on your left.
Left at the roundabout takes you to the parking garage of Uptown Mirdif
From Emirates Road toward Sharjah

Driving towards Sharjah on Emirates Road go past Global Village on you right and further along you will see sign boards for Silicone Oasis and International City.
Continue until you see an exit for Al Warqa’a
Take the exit and at the first traffic light turn left into Algeria Street.
You will find uptown Mirdif farther down on the right
From Garhoud Bridge or Business Bay

Immediately after Garhoud Bridge turn right and keep right going towards Festival City.
Take the underpass leading towards Al Warqa’a /Nadd al Hamar
Continue straight following the Al Warqa’a signs
You will reach a traffic light with sign posts to UPTOWN
Turn left into Algeria Street.
You will find Uptown Mirdif farther down on the right
