 Meet new people on Tuesdays in Dubai
We have had lots of Limers ask us when we are starting back up with the events schedule, the answer in terms of the Music is soon - but after the weather cools and Ramadan has passed. So what to do until then?
In the mean time we have hooked up with the Ramee Royal Hotel to re-start the social nights at the TIME CAFE. It's very simple - Tuesday nights Lady Limers can benefit from free drinks all night - us chaps get good prices but just like everywhere else in Dubai have to pay for your fine assortment of beverages.
You can call  Andi on 050-9122-646 when you get there if you want to be introduced or just ask for Andi at the bar when you get there and he will introduce you to people. This is a picture of Andi looking slightly less odd than he normally does. Those are headphones - he is not a human fly
We have the "BoxTones" playing and DJ Andi playing for us. The Time Café holds around 800 people so no chance of having to turn people away at the door. It will be busy and it's a good vibe, the band is good and the company is even better. Just come along, bring a friend and come down to meet new people. It is more fun than riding a camel into a magical oasis and you get to meet more new people.
If you want to come along simply turn up at the Ramee Royal Hotel which is on the Bur Dubai side of the Khaid Bin Walid road and say hi. If you don't recognise anyone just say hi to somebody random - generally Limers will be near the stage! It's going to be our LIMERS Tuesday night hang out until Ramadan so you can come down and enjoy pleasant company in a good crowd in a social setting.
If you really are a social introvert we would suggest coming along in a batman or a wombat suit - although you may look a bit odd you can be sure that people will certainly talk to you and you wont have to skulk around the bathroom door looking dodgy. Plus we will have great pictures for the Dubai Lime website.
If anyone knows where you can get a Wombat suit in Dubai please comment! Hope to see you there at the Time Cafe for Dubai Lime Social Nights- starts this Tuesday 5th of August and continues every Tuesday till Ramadan, anytime from around 9pm onwards.

The coffee house or cafe tends to share some of the characteristics of both a bar and a restaurant. They are focused on serving coffee, tea, sandwiches, and other light snacks, such as muffins, desserts, soups and pastries. The coffee house is more like a restaurant in some countries. They will serve tons of hot and cold foods with a steaming cup of coffee, together with the possible option of serving alcohol. In a Muslim cafe, you will be able to smoke your tobacco or pot through a hookah and drink your coffee.
 The purpose of the coffee house does sometimes take on the purpose of the centre of society. You may visit the coffee house to meet up or gossip with your friends, do some works, read a book, entertain, or simply to just pass some time. The coffee house is one place that can be a great meeting ground. You will find many things in the coffee house in the name of creativity. You may be able to do stand up or many coffee houses have readings or art displays; it can be a wonderful place for some much need inspiration.
You can visit in groups or go by yourself and fit right in. It can a great place to work in a relaxing environment on you laptop computer and sit for hours typing and drinking coffee. Most owners do not even mind if you just come in and sit. It is such a great place to get your ideas down on paper or to act out your most creative concoctions.
It is know that Arabic merchants, first found coffee, and the coffee shop originated in areas that surround Persia, such as Iran and Turkey. Today, you will have not problem in finding a coffee shop anywhere in the world.
In America, Starbucks is a well known chain. A Starbucks coffee shop is a place that allows you to use the internet, and sit all day writing a book or doing some work. It is the ultimate coffee shop; there are many enormous coffee shops in locations, such as Los Angeles and New York where artists tend to flock.
Coffee House can also make a great place to take your date to. Have you coffee and entertainment at the same time. You can also have a conversation without the need to talk loudly. When taking your date to a coffee house, you will surely have a laid back and unpredictable date. The cafe is such a great place to just hang out and relax.
