 Double Decker Bus Dubai

So you have seen the double decker bus in Dubai  - did you know how it got there! Well firstly lets look at the quick history of the bus in Dubai.

A double-decker bus is a bus that has two levels. While double-decker long-distance coaches are in widespread use around the world, double-decker city buses are less common.

Double-decker buses are popular in some European cities and in some parts of Asia, usually in former British colonies, of course Dubai has always had heavy British Influence (Even the plugs are the same). Dubai is one of many towns around the world have a few that specialise in short sight-seeing tours for tourists for, as William Gladstone observed, "the way to see London is from the top of a 'bus'" - Of course the main use of the route masters you will see in Dubai are for Bus Tours and for parties, holiday tours and private bus trips.

Rental firms to profit from Dubai road toll

Dubai Travel and Tourism
Written by Steve
By Safura Rahimi - Arabian Business.

Rental car companies will charge customers as much as 25% extra to use the Dubai road toll, leaving them open to accusations of profiteering from the already controversial scheme.

Although Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) yesterday confirmed that road toll charges remain at AED4 for all cars, there has been widespread agreement among rental car companies to charge customers more than 10% extra - AED4.50 per crossing - on top of toll charges.

The extra charges are being justified as an 'administrative fee' for costs incurred by companies setting up the Salik tags for each vehicle and creating separate departments to monitor the cars.

Dubai Lime Recommended Hotel in Middle of Town - The Al Qasr

Written by Steve

This is where you should stay if you are looking to be in the centre of the Dubai Night Life and city district.  Obviously the Burj Al Arab is the best known hotel in town it's the only hotel in Dubai shaped like a sail! In terms of our balanced recommendation of where to stay in these districts and after much deliberation we chose the Shangri La - but then we realized that is our recommended hotel for June.  So if you can't get into the Shangri La and want another great hang out with beach amenities close to where its all happening we are going to have to suggest Al Qasr.
