Calling all Amateur Musicians, Bands and DJs: Design Your Personal Life - A festival of music and art. Do you dream of reaching a larger audience? Do you wish to express yourself to the world? Well, Hewlett Packard would like to invite you to express yourself and showcase your talent.
As a part of its global initiative to invest in local talent, HP Middle East has setup an international competition to bring the UAE's talent to the forefront of the world. All residents of the UAE are invited to upload their music onto www.dypl-me.com. The competition is open to all musicians and DJs regardless of your style, language and medium. The uploaded music or videos are then judged by the public. At the end of the competition the top 5 musicians will be invited to play at the Design Your Personal Life Festival in a battle of the bands competition. This festival promises to be one of the most high profile amateur festivals in the Middle East. The event happens simultaneously in 4 countries: South Africa, UAE, Greece and Turkey. All four cities will be linked via satellite and will be transmitting the battle of the bands competition internationally. All 5 finalists receive gifts from HP, with the winner receiving a laptop for each member of the band/group. In addition to the laptops the winner receives advertising on Yahoo for a month promoting their music. This is quite easily the largest amateur talent search in the UAE to date.
