Under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and presented by the TDIC is 'A Story of Islamic Embroidery in Nomadic and Urban Traditions'.
The exhibition will bring t ogether more than 200 rare and majestic textiles, including a wealth of embroideries from Central Asia that have never been exhibited bef ore in the region.
Presented in collaboration with the Aga Khan Music Initiative as part of the TDIC's educational programme running alongside the exhibitionÂ 'A Story of Islamic Embroidery in Nomadic and Urban Traditions'.
The metaphor of music as language is evident in the question and answer played out between drums and melody instruments in this performance devoted to the traditional Kabuli style of Indian raga.
