This week, the internet was abuzz with rumours of the world's most expensive car wash. Meet Derby-based entrepreneur Gurcharn Sahota. 30-year-old Gurcharn Sahota uses microscopes and ultrasonic depth gauges to charge more than £7,000 for a ultra-prestigious car cleaning service.
“Sometimes if one of my customers calls up from the Middle East, they’ll fly me out there in business class. All my kit will come with me and I can spend anything from a couple days out there to several weeks,” said Sahota.
Sahota’s premium detailing process begins
with a thorough wash using pH neutral shampoo and citrus degreasers, as well as clay bars to remove tarry substances. He then uses an electric scanner and ultra-fine sandpaper to remove even the most miniscule scratches in the paint before applying a Brazilian wax that costs over $12,000 per can. The entire process can take as long as 4 weeks and costs over $10,000.
Gurcharn Sahota’s super-car wash has led him to work on Bugatti Veyrons, McLaren F1s, F1 GTRs and Pagani Zondas.
